1. Many inns have specific check in times. Be sure to look this up. If you're arriving outside of the check-in timeframe, call the innkeeper to arrange access to your room. You wouldn't show up at your grandmother's doorstep at 2 AM and expect her to be waiting to open the door for you, so don't expect it from an innkeeper.
