Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory Tour

Ben & Jerry's first ice cream factory is still in operation and located just ten minutes away. There is a fun factory tour that takes just a half hour and includes free samples at the end. There is also a Scoop Shop with all their flavors, a well stocked souvenir store, a children's playground, and the 'Flavor Graveyard' with humorous tombstones for the flavors no longer made.

Bolton Valley Resort

Not widely known outside northern VT, this is a very popular local ski and snowboarding resort located between Waterbury and Burlington. It has a 3150 foot summit, 1700 feet of vertical, 64 trails, 6 lifts, 3 terrain parks, 10 gladed areas. The only resort in this area with night skiing and riding. Also has a very nice 100K nordic trail system. Total 5000 acres. A very nice, no frills experience with prices well below most resorts in Vermont.

Ziemke Glassblowing Studio

Located a few minutes north of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream factory, between the Cabot Annex Store and Hollow Cider Mill, Glen Ziemke's glassblowing studio is open 363 days a year. You can watch him blowing glass through the large windows between the workshop and the retail store. This is one of four glass blowing studios in the area around the inn.
